Description: The May 8th Assessment Learning Exchange (ALE), open to the public, will start with short presentations offered by two AI experts in assessment: AALHE members, Chadd Engel and Gretchen Meyers, on how they used AI to revolutionize curriculum development and programmatic assessment. Participants will then join the Zoom breakout rooms to apply the techniques and strategies and exchange their experiences and perspectives. 

In this ALE, participants will:

• Gain insights into harnessing AI's potential to optimize programmatic assessment, e.g., learning outcomes, streamline assessment processes, and unlock new avenues for educational excellence. 
• Discuss innovative approaches where AI is leveraged to enhance curriculum development, e.g., developing courses, formative and summative assessments, pedagogical activities aligned with course learning objectives, and generating rubrics. 
• Contribute to the AI in Learning Assessment Padlet resources initiated from the 2023 November ALE.
